Meeting at the Mediterranean Diving Show
The great Spanish diving fair
On March 24, 25 and 26 we were at the “Mediterranean Diving Show” diving fair. Thousands of visitors have passed during three intense days by nearly a hundred exhibitors to learn about the latest in the underwater activities sector, acquire new equipment and accessories of all kinds, hire outings, to buy underwater image capture equipment, sign up for new courses, opt for new certifications or, simply, to meet family and friends who have enjoyed a room that every year becomes the meeting point for all the agents involved in this underwater world.
The diving sector is key for Observadores del Mar, since they are those constant eyes on the sea that warn of changes and can also support the monitoring of habitats and species. We were happy to see that many people were interested in marine citizen science and that they are willing to contribute and collaborate.
We are committed to respectful underwater activities that take into account the environment and collaborate to support science. This commitment is reflected in our Sentinel Observatories —diving centers and entities highly committed to the platform— with whom we met in person at our stand. It was a pleasure to catch up in person after many virtual meetings!
See you all next year!
